Kenyan Born Model Malaika Firth Heads Home to Kenya

2013 was a year full of milestones for Kenyan born model Malaika Firth. She launched her modeling career with Prada’s Fall’13 campaign. She was also the second black woman ever to model for Prada. She also walked her first Victoria’s Secret show. This spring, her latest ads include Burberry and Valentino (see image below).

While the model has had a stellar year since launching her modeling career, her holiday break to her home town of Mombasa Kenya is full of lovely photos that deserve their own applause. Not only did the model visit with family and friends, she took some time to do charity work, feeding and giving back-to-school supplies to around 60 children she encountered. To be a rising top model with her kind of humility is rare. I firmly believe that she is destined to be a great top model that would make all Africans proud to say that she is one of our own.
