Karen Walker Casts Kenyan Artisans as the stars of her new eyeglasses campaign

A New Zealand-based designer Karen Walker casts Kenyan artisans as the stars of her new eyeglasses campaign. The designer who also partnered with the United Nations ITC Ethical Fashion Initiative, created a series of screen-printed pouches that will accompany any eyewear purchase. But honestly, what makes this campaign so beautiful, so stunning are the stars of the campaign, the Kenyan artisans themselves who worked to produce the unique pouches, in striking poses captured by photographer Derek Henderson. I also love the fact that the designer is using the her campaign to highlight the plight of poverty-stricken African regions, working with the United Nations’ International Trade Centre’s Ethical Fashion Initiative. See images of the artisans and eyewear below.
