Prada Casts Second Woman of Color Cindy Bruna for their Spring 2014 ad Campaign

Cindy 3The first images of their Spring 2014 ad is out and once again Prada casts a woman of color, this time French Model Cindy Bruna who sits front and center in the shot.
prada-spring-2014-campaignThe ad portrays Cindy alongside other models in colorful clothing with makeup done by the international makeup extraodinare Pat Mcgrath who also happens to be a woman of color. In June of this year, Malaika Firth, the UK based model with Kenyan Heritage was the first black model in a Prada ad since Naomi Campbell in 1998. It looks like Prada is finally trying to add a bit of diversity to their work and we here at ISR, can’t help but say kudos to them. See other gorgeous pictures of the black Parisian model that illustrates just how stunning she looks and I wish her much success in 2014.

Naomi Campbell: The First Lady of Fashion at a photoshoot in Ghana for W Magazine

tumblr_mv6f5yIrvr1qd1swho2_1280A decidedly grown-up feeling is currently being channeled by Naomi Campbell and it was for a diplomatic mission to our beloved Ghana. For an editorial in the November issue of W Magazine, carrying the modern ladylike trend to perfection, the supermodel wore a first-lady worthy wardrobe filled with exquisitely tailored suits in simple, clean silhouettes that were beautiful to look at. The photos were taken in scenic Accra, Ghana; including the University of Ghana (Legon), The National Theatre, Movenpick Hotels, MarketSquare and other locations. According to the Style Editor, W magazine, Edward Enninful, “It’s a tribute to a modern day First Lady on a state trip, evoking the kind of timeless style that could have existed in the 1940′s, 60′s, or even today. See the pictures for yourself and let us know what you think.
